A Message from Megan English
The English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Donato to the position of supervisorl owner. For some time now I have contemplated spending more time with my small children and less at the funeral home. A very difficult thought process; as my family is so very precious to me so are the families we serve at the funeral home.
Through the years you have afforded, not only me but my father and mother, the opportunity of working with your family. Allowing us to provide comfort and support during such a devastating time means a great deal to my family and one in which we gratefully appreciate.
Life is so very precious and each day is a gift; working with all of our families no lesson was ever so evident. Simply reminiscing of the exceptional families I had devoted my time to helping I discovered it was time to focus and help my own family a little more. As much time as it took to make the decision to stay at home with my children and husband; it was quite easy to decide who to leave care for all of you and your needs. As I discussed the situation with Mark, I knew without a doubt, I had made the right choice.
Mark is a highly respected individual in the funeral industry, his reputation supersedes him. He has worked with our funeral home for 15 years, as his license has hung in our home and being the director of our pre-need program. Many of you may already know Mark as a result of his work with our home. Perhaps you might be familiar with his family, who has been involved in the Oakmont Community since 1978. Mark's parents were the owners of Donato Auto for 27 years, active in our community always offering assistance and eager to support such. Mark's father Lou retired 5 years ago, although continues to visit and support the community on a regular basis. As the Donato name has earned the respect of the Oakmont and surrounding areas Mark looks to
carry that tradition forward. Treating families with great respect, acknowledging the needs of each family member and attentive to such.
Words can not express the gratitude my family and I have for allowing us to serve you for the past 29 years. With that being said I think it important to share that even though I will not have a strong presence at the funeral home, my father will. He will be very involved in the day to day operations and available when needed.
The true testament of our appreciation is passing the English Funeral Home onto Mark and the impeccable service you will receive you have my word. - Megan
